Gay Dad
Leisure Noise

We first heard about this band reading some British music rag we picked up for a flight home from Amsterdam. Being that the rag was covered with stories of trip hop, trance, and all things Ibiza (but then again, what hipster wannabe European rag isn't all over Ibiza nowadays), we expect a very electronica focused disc. Imagine our surprise when we put it on and they start blasting out 80's style pop rock.

Distorted guitars, the strong male voice singing, ballad choruses, straight forward driving drum beats. Yeah, there's some electronica thrown in, but make no mistake this is big power pop rock. Those are real drums, bass and guitars that are playing! Crowe even slips from his power yell into a falsetto now and again during his singing.
